Acting for Animation 2

Before formally entering the subject, the teacher first let us play a few games to warm up and let us gradually relax the physical activity. This is a great help to be able to perform the different stages of the theme with the body more relaxed later.

In this lecture we have learned about 7 levels of Tension:

1. Exhausted

At the beginning of this stage, we were divided into pairs. A didn’t need any effort. B lifted A’s arm or leg. During this period, student A needs to completely relax and feel gravity.

2. Laid Back

In this stage, you need to imagine how your body felt when you just woke up or were sad. The body is generally very relaxed, moving the body forward bit by bit.

3. Economic

In this phase, we have a clear goal when we move. We were asked to pick a random object in the classroom, walk straight up to it and call the object’s name.

4. Alert

builds on level3, where we need to name everything in sight to keep ourselves “busy.”

5. Suspense

At this level, we are too easy to be scared by things around us, like characters in horror movies.

6. Passionate

At this stage, we were divided into two ‘gangsters’ who fought at the peak of our power

7. Tragic

Likewise, if something really bad has happened, we need to build a Tragic story in the “action! Then quickly let our hungry body tense up and hold it still for three seconds, feeling the muscles contract because of excessive tension

After experiencing all of your levels, Group A will act out the different levels while the other group will quickly draw them.
