Overview

In this course, we learned about how to create interesting character concepts(with shapes and colors). And try to change some of the details of the character, (such as a longer nose, larger ears, etc.) to make the character look more suitable for the set.

Exercise 1

In this exercise, we’re going to imagine what these objects are and draw them down from the given shapes. It’s a great way to exercise your imagination. We can also try this exercise more often on a regular basis.

Exercise 2

Sometimes small changes can make your character look very different. So we had to try a variety of different versions of the character to make it fit the set image before finalizing it.

In this exercise, we’re asked to pick one of the characters and drew 3-6 variations based on it.

Reflection

In this class, we have a preliminary understanding of the process of animation character design, which will be of great help for us to enter the industry and adapt to work.
